Recent trends in global mobility have seen increases in the cross border movement of talent.  In this context, complex issues can arise with respect to the employment contract and the terms of the assignment. These complexities are compounded in situations where assignments may continue over many years and multiple countries.  The assignment documentation needs to correct from a legal perspective at the start of the assignment and stay updated and correct from one assignment to the next (many assignments do not result in a return to the home country but to another international location).
