21st August - FEM Brisbane Chapter Event: Tranistions, Adjustment and Adaptation of Expatriates (and Accompanying Partner/Children) Including Repatriation

During this Chapter meeting we will look at:

  • Some factors to consider in the recruitment process and pre-departure to identify issues and assist the transition
  • Transition and adjustment processes: expatriates(1-5 years) vs’ FIFO or short term assignments
  • Repatriation: Issues regarding adjustment, knowledge transfer and retention of expats

Leonie has specialised in working with expatriates and culturally diverse teams for the past 10 years and is especially interested in the transition and adaptation process of moving between cultures. She has worked with more than 70 different cultural groups and has also lived in other countries as an expatriate.
